
15-year-old girl seriously injured in overnight shooting
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say a 15-year-old girl was seriously injured in an overnight shooting at the Moccasin Flats encampment.
Police say it occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, in a recreational vehicle that is parked at that location.
“The investigation is still in its preliminary stages, but there is currently no indication there is any increased risk to the general public resulting from this incident. We are asking that anyone who may have video surveillance or dash camera footage, or any information regarding this incident, please call our non-emergency number to speak with an investigator,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
Police say the Serious Crimes Unit is currently in charge of the investigation, which is actively working to identify the outstanding suspect.
