PRINCE GEORGE — Vaisakhi marks the joyful celebration of the harvest season for the Sikh people. In our community, many Sikhs eagerly invite others to experience their rich culture through shared food and engaging conversations. Festivities will kick off this Saturday at the Sikh temple in College Heights and conclude at the CN Centre.

For the past twenty-five years, the Sikh temple in Prince George has been busy preparing in advance for one of its biggest religious celebrations. Volunteers handcraft hundreds of pounds of food, ensuring that up to 5,000 people can be fed during this special event.

The outdoor ceremony is planned to begin at the Sikh temple located in College Heights and wrap up at the CN Parking lot before noon. Everyone from the community is invited to engage with the Sikh community.
