PGSAR rescue young person stranded on Ginter’s Hill
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Search and Rescue (PGSAR) says it helped rescue a young person who was lost after they got stranded on Ginter’s Hill Friday (May 16) evening.
In a post on social media, PGSAR says 23 of its members responded alongside RCMP officers in fading daylight and quickly located the young person, who was stranded in a steep-sided ravine.
“SAR was able to help the subject back onto a nearby trail and a short walk later brought everyone to our base of operations, where the youth was evaluated by BC Ambulance, “the statement said, noting the victim was cold but not injured.
“We commend the youth for recognizing they needed help and calling 911 early.”
